Indianapolis Civic Theatre, the state's largest professionally managed community theatre, founded in 1915, provides quality live theatrical entertainment for a broad-based audience. The Theatre produces six shows during its mainstage season, featuring both large-scale musicals and popular plays, in addition to concert-style musical presentations and annual youth productions. Civic represents a unique blend of avocational actors, technicians and professional staff, and offers a wide variety of educational and community outreach programs.

Indianapolis Civic Theatre offers a year-round, theatre-based education program in performing arts for children and adults. Instructors are theatre professionals with experience on stage and behind the scenes who provide unique opportunities for students to explore their own creative talents and imaginations. Currently in its 69th year, the program's workshops build confidence, advance growth, develop skills, offer a place to make friends, and build a love of live theatre. And, most of all, it's fun!
