Reaching Art Collectors: An Artist Panel Discussion

In September of 2015, the Arts Council of Indianapolis partnered with the Western Art Society and the Clark Hulings Fund for Visual Artists to pull together an artist panel discussion on Reaching Art Collectors. 

Panelists include:

Panel Discussion: The Challenges and Rewards of Creating Large Work

On March 15, 2015 at First Street Gallery, The Clark Hulings Fund presented The Challenges and Rewards of Working Large, An Art Business Panel Discussion. The panelists discussed what it was like to create large works of art: the difficulties in transporting, insuring and placing them, and the rewards of creating them.

Fractured Atlas - Resources for Artists

Fractured Atlas is an artist service organization whose mission is to serve and advocate for artists of all disciplines. The group offers many services for professional artists, but their programs involve:

  • Fundraising - fiscal sponsorship program
  • Insurance - for people, art, and events
  • Space - finding space for creative events
  • Web software - free web module to track patrons and ticket sales

The group also has an artist resource site with lots of great info called Fractured U.
