National Arts and Humanities Month in Indy

People of Culture

National Arts and Humanities Month is every October

National Arts and Humanities Month is an opportunity to raise awareness of our collective impact on our region’s culture, economy, and quality of life, and that’s why the Indy Arts Council and Indiana Humanities are coming together to celebrate it this October.

We’re shining a spotlight on the meaningful arts and humanities programming that happens across the Indianapolis region and in Indiana’s 92 counties — not just this month, but all year long.

This is an amazing time to elevate all the great work that’s going on in our communities and invite people to be a part of what makes our communities so vibrant, so creative, and so vital.

Arts and humanities play an integral part in connecting our region and our state to culture, strengthening communities, boosting civic pride and engagement, and building local economic investment.

It’s important that the Hoosiers we serve have access to events and programs that can inspire creativity and spark curiosity. On behalf of the Indy Arts Council and Indiana Humanities, thank you for your continued support of the arts and humanities.
