Public Events and Exhibitions at the Artsgarden

Situated in the heart of downtown Indianapolis, the Indianapolis Artsgarden is a seven-story glass and steel spectacle at Washington and Illinois Street. Owned and operated by Indy Arts Council, the Artsgarden hosts free concerts and exhibitions by central Indiana artists year-round.

Art & Soul Sundays

Since 1996, Art & Soul has kicked off Black History Month in Indianapolis, and now this celebration of Black culture and creativity is going year-round.

Come to the Indianapolis Artsgarden 3 – 4 p.m. for Art & Soul Sundays, a time for everyone to come together for soulful music and artistic expression to get their week started.

All events are free and family-friendly. Parking is available in the Circle Centre Mall garages.

Circle Centre Mall construction updates

The Indianapolis Artsgarden is continuing operations as normal during the start of construction at Circle Centre Mall. The weddings, corporate events, and public programming hosted at the Artsgarden will proceed as planned.

The closing of the Omni Severin Hotel skywalk will not impact Artsgarden operations. The mall concourse, food court, and parking garages will remain open. Frequently asked questions regarding Circle Centre Mall parking and skywalk access can be found at https://www.circlecentre.com/faq.

Más Arte Más Cultura presents Venezuela

Wednesday, October 22  |  6:00 – 7:30 p.m.

This event will be split into three sections, first will be a reading and book signing by author María Rosana Mestre for her book “The Rights of Multilingual Children,” a book she wrote alongside her 9-year-old daughter about the UN’s declaration of the rights of children. Following the reading, there will be a presentation from teachers and representatives from Harmony in Hamilton about their program and their strides to bring free music education to Hamilton county. Lastly, the event will close with a musical performance by the Youth and Children’s Orchestra of Harmony in Hamilton.

Celebrate the holiday season with local music groups at the Indianapolis Artsgarden. Mistletoe Music Festival is an annual event that showcases the talent of central Indiana schools and professional ensembles.

Hip-Hop Anthology is founded on the elements of classic hip-hop culture from a visual artist experience, cultivating creativity in the community since 2020. Hip Hop Anthology is a visual narration collectively curated by visual artists authentically inspired and influenced by hip-hop culture, music, fashion, film, literature, lifestyle, politics, social commentary, and voice of the underdog.

The MITH: All Styles Dance Battle featured workshops on popping, breaking and hip hop from local street style dancers. The dancers competed in an all styles breakdance battle.

Chreece presented The Last Shot Finale at the Indianapolis Artsgarden. Three finalists performed in front of a panel of judges to show their talent in the final round of competition.

Since 2004, they’ve been captivating audiences with their music from around the world. Starting in 2009, they began augmenting their repertoire with music from galaxies far far away.
