EJAAZ is a multifaceted creative professional whose journey reflects a unique blend of artistry, leadership, and resilience. Born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, his passion for creativity and community impact emerged early. As an eighth grader, EJAAZ was one of only three students chosen by Mr. Faulkens of Crispus Attucks to deliver the Super Bowl bid to the Minnesota Vikings, demonstrating leadership potential and poise at a young age.

A 2010 graduate of the Center for Leadership Development (CLD) Leadership School, EJAAZ earned a certificate that solidified his foundational skills in leadership and community engagement. He graduated from Broad Ripple High School of the Arts & Humanities, excelling in the Visual Arts Magnet program and mastering various fine art mediums. His artistic journey continued at the Herron School of Art and Design at IUPUI, where he pursued Visual Communication Studies for two years, refining his design and creative problem-solving skills.

EJAAZ’s professional career began with Zaahi Studios, a media company where he honed his craft as a contract graphic designer. His dynamic talents extended into modeling, earning a feature on the cover of Pattern Magazine’s first artist issue in 2014.

As a music artist and poet, EJAAZ is deeply rooted in Indianapolis’ inner-city arts scene. His inspirational and thought-provoking music has earned a loyal following, including fans who carry over 20 tattoos of his song lyrics from “#LYDOBV.” He’s performed extensively at open mics, live band shows, and major festivals, including A3C in Atlanta and SXSW in Austin, Texas. A two-time national touring artist, he’s shared stages with national acts and left a lasting impression on audiences with his compelling performances. Despite significant opportunities, such as being considered for a deal by a multi-diamond songwriter, EJAAZ has remained true to his artistic integrity.

In the visual arts arena, EJAAZ’s creative vision has earned notable recognition. He was commissioned by the Indianapolis Arts Council to collaborate with Bayonet Media, a multi-Emmy-winning studio, on the “NoName City” project, rebranding the arts in Indiana. His knack for storytelling extends to viral video content, with one YouTube project amassing over 700,000 views and 1,000 comments. He edited the music video for his song “333,” which garnered over 72,000 views and 240 comments, showcasing his multifaceted talents in music and videography.

EJAAZ’s career reached new heights when he was selected from 3,000 applicants to join the inaugural class at 1500 Sound Academy, a prestigious institution led by Grammy-winning producers James Fauntleroy and Larrance Dopson. This honor set the stage for collaborations with industry giants. EJAAZ served as an audio engineer and personal assistant to Young Thug and Gunna, contributing to five consecutive #1 Billboard albums and earning credits on multiple platinum and Billboard-charting records. Mentored by Bainz, a Grammy-nominated engineer, he cultivated a reputation for excellence in audio engineering, cementing his place among the industry’s elite.

In 2019, EJAAZ was cast in the first episode of Netflix’s Rhythm & Flow, performing alongside the late Nipsey Hussle. This opportunity amplified his visibility, further showcasing his artistry and dedication to his craft.

Throughout his journey, EJAAZ has demonstrated a relentless commitment to his passions, from his early days of fundraising and traveling for the NFL as an Indianapolis Super Bowl Ambassador to achieving success as a multidisciplinary artist. Whether through music, fine art, videography, or audio engineering, EJAAZ continues to inspire and innovate, leaving an indelible mark on every endeavour he pursues.
