Susan Tennant

My work, over the last decade, has been a uniquely stylistic and crafted approach that I refer to as “organic engineering.”  I utilize fiberglass rods to create a dynamic flow of curvilinear and gestural lines as if drawing in space. The work speaks of volume without mass.  I create sculptures and installations of geometric angles and squares, beautiful lines, curves and orbits that reflect a connection of natural elements with precisely measure constructions of wood layered with drawings in a visually harmonious way.
