Artist Services at the Arts Council of Indianapolis
The Artist Services Team at the Arts Council of Indianapolis offers a wide variety of FREE programs and services for central Indiana artists.
Exhibition and Performance Opportunities - The Council owns and operates the Indianapolis Artsgarden which hosts over 300 performances, exhibitions, and events each year. For visual artists, the Council manages Gallery 924 and runs the city's public art program.
Artist Directory - The Council hosts the city's only searchable, comprehensive artist database where city, corporate, and private enttites can find musicians, painters, writers, and other creatives. Your page on our site links to your own website, social media sites as well as your pcoming events on our searchable arts calendar, the Indy Arts Guide.
Artist Opportunities E-newsletter - Each week, the Council sends out an Artist E-news full of open calls to artists, audition notices, employment listings, grant information and more. This is your quickest and easiest way to stay connected and at the forefront of upcoming local and regional opportunities. For national and international calls, look to our Artist Opportunities section on our Indy Arts Guide where you will be able to search by location or discipline.
Professional Development - The Council partners with various organizations each year to bring free professional development workshops, lectures, and panel discussions related to the business side of being an artist. Starting in 2015, most of these will be recorded for this Artist Resources Blog page.
Grants for Artists - The Robert D. Beckmann Emerging Artist Fellowship, Creative Renewal Arts Fellowship, and the Transformational Impact Fellowship all address different time periods and needs in an artist's career. Visit our grants page to learn more.
