How to Claim Paid Covid-19 Sick Leave as an Actor

The Families First Coronavirus Response Act established a tax credit for freelancers, which lets you claim a deduction equal to two weeks of work (yearly income, prorated per week) for lost work due to illness or caring for ill family members. The credit can be claimed when filing 2020 taxes, or can be claimed on any quarter's quarterly tax payment. This credit is applicable for any employee or self-employed individual, and applies to any freelance artist with self-employment income.
