Britt Ritchie’s paintings are expressions of color through layers, graphical elements and botanical impressions. Her formal fine art training is in design with a subsequent interest in oil painting. (She has a BFA in graphic design from Ball State University).​ With this piece, Ritchie creates a feeling of movement through the use of color and the juxtaposition of elements. The use of layers and botanical imagery adds as well to the creative movement throughout the painting.
