Join the Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis, the Symphonic Praise Choir, The Performing Arts Conservatory, and guests artists from Central Indiana in a celebration of Black music, composers, and musicians. This concert at 2:00 P.M. at the Pike Performing Arts Center, 6701 Zionsville Road, Indianapolis, will feature local gospel guest artists including Randy Weston (of Randy Weston & Judah Band). Produced and conducted by Dr. Robert T. Townsend with assistant conductors Bryen Warfield and CJ Warfield, the concert will include works by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, J.W. Johnson and Rosamund Johnson — plus works by Indianapolis composers Lamar Campbell, Randy Weston, Demetrius West, Jalynn Simmons, Larry Wilson, Jon Harris, George Tyler, and CJ Warfield. Be uplifted!
