Since 1996, the Art & Soul festival has kicked off Black History Month in Indianapolis, but now, this celebration of Black culture and creativity is going year-round.

Come to the Indianapolis Artsgarden for Art & Soul Sundays, a time for everyone to come together for soulful music and dance to get their week started.

All events are free and family friendly. Parking is available in the Circle Centre Mall garages.

ABOUT THE SHOW

Embodying the spirit of musical mischief and unbridled creativity, Tom Foolery & the Laughing Stock is a dynamic jazz hip-hop fusion band that defies expectations and delights audiences with their infectious energy and genre-bending sound. Tom Foolery & the Laughing Stock seamlessly blends the sophistication of jazz with the raw energy of hip-hop, creating a sonic tapestry that is both innovative and exhilarating. From infectious grooves to intricate melodies, each song is a testament to the band’s fearless experimentation and unwavering dedication to pushing the boundaries of genre.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Brandon Douthitt picked up a saxophone for the first time at age 11, starting an award-winning musical journey that has led to performance gigs throughout the U.S., including Indy Jazz Fest, CUNY Jazz Festival, Afropunk and Highline Ballroom. He graduated in 2015 from Butler University with a bachelor of arts degree in music and earned a master of music degree in jazz performance from Queens College in 2017. Brandon taught music at Kentucky State University before moving back to Indianapolis, where he teaches and performs.
