Celebrate the arrival of summer as talented local jazz, hip hop, classical, and experimental artists breathe vibrant energy into the Indianapolis Artsgarden. All performances are free and open to the public. Parking is available in the Circle Centre Mall garages.
Eric Salazar (The Clarinet Guy) is a performer, composer, and career coach. He performs recitals and concertos of classical music that he feels connected to. Sometimes what he plays isn’t all-classical, but a merging of different genres, like jazz and ambient. As a career coach, he focuses on teaching people who don’t consider themselves to be “business people”how to be effective managers or leaders in the business world, while still staying true to themselves.
Pianist Li-Wen Weng is an active soloist and collaborative pianist. Originally from Taipei, Taiwan, she graduated from National Taiwan Normal University with a double major in Piano Performance and English. After graduation, she attended Indiana University as a scholarship student and graduated with a master’s degree in Piano Performance. She then continued her musical journey by obtaining her Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance and Literature from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
This duo for clarinet and piano will perform a mixture of classical, anime, and video game music.
