Inspired by Larry Young’s Unity album featuring Woody Shaw, the Kent Hickey Organ 4tet is an exciting new ensemble that combines sounds from the past with present day aesthetics. The group’s repertoire consists of tunes from the hard bop tradition, Kent’s original music, and songs recorded by legendary organists like Larry Young and Jimmy Smith. This performance will feature Kent on the trumpet, Sean Imboden on tenor saxophone, Steve Snyder on the organ, and Chelsea Hughey on drums. Join us for an evening of lively, swinging music!
