A Baroque Ramble

Harpsichordist Tom Gerber takes us on a spin through Baroque Europe on Butler’s Larry Eckstein French double-manual harpsichord. England, Spain, Germany, and Italy are visited via pieces by, respectively, Dr. John Blow, Domenico Scarlatti, Johann Kuhnau, and Girolamo Frescobaldi. However, the itinerary’s pièce de résistance finds us in France  Jean-Philippe Rameau’s Suite in A minor, from 1728.
