About Hip Hop Anthology:
Hip-Hop Anthology is a multidisciplinary archive of culture in motion.
Rooted in the foundational elements of hip-hop—expression, education, resistance, and innovation—it weaves together visual art, ceramics, music, movement, and memory.
This ongoing anthology documents the past, reflects the present, and shapes the future by spotlighting artists from all walks—youth to elders, amateurs to masters.
Every painting, poem, sculpture, sound, and sketch becomes part of a larger conversation—connecting Black cultural traditions, street aesthetics, and the spirit of community-based creation.
More than an exhibition, it’s a cultural classroom, a living archive, and a creative cipher—where every contribution counts, and every medium speaks.
Inspired by album covers, breakbeats, comic books, and lived experiences, Hip-Hop Anthology continues to push forward the visual language of hip-hop as both archive and art form.
“This isn’t just an exhibition—it’s a community cipher,” says curator Gary Gee.
