ABOUT THE SHOW

Don’t miss Il Troubadore at Gen Con 2024! Since 2004, they’ve been captivating audiences with their music from around the world. Starting in 2009, they began augmenting their repertoire with music from galaxies far far away. Join them at the Indianapolis Artsgarden at 12 p.m. on August 2, where they’ll perform in Star Wars regalia. Get ready for an out-of-this-world experience!

PERFORMERS

Robert Bruce Scott (founding member of il Troubadore) has been performing as a lead singer and instrumentalist both solo and with various ensembles since 1976. Robert studied vocal performance at Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Jon Silpayamanant (founding member of il Troubadore) studied music performance specializing in cello at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana and currently teaches at Indiana University South in New Albany, Indiana.

Ron Fife (member since 2012) studied at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana and performs as a percussionist for several local ensembles.

Andy Smith (guest member since 2019) is one of very few Oud players in Indianapolis. Andy studied mathematics at Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

GETTING TO THE ARTSGARDEN

  • The Red Parking Garage (48 W Washington St) is the closest garage to the venue. As you’re heading west on Washington St., enter the garage using the down ramp to your left just past Meridian St.
  • After parking, take the elevators or escalators to level M2 and follow signs to the Artsgarden.
