With a familiar name, and a fresh approach, Jackson Grimm combines songwriting born from the southern Indiana hills with the lonesome sounds of the Appalachian Mountains. Growing up in a musical family on an Indiana farm, he deftly marries folk and pop melodies with the strong music culture of his adopted home in Asheville, North Carolina. Hos band, The Bull Moose Party, is tight and dynamic, replete with fast picking, harmony singing, and modern string band swagger. Grimm and the band blend modern original folk music, traditional stringboard music, and bluegrass covers you’re sure to sing along with.

INDY FOLK SERIES is an all-ages listening room venue featuring superb acoustics, art on the walls, and a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Light snacks and drinks are available by donation. Concerts are held once a month, September – May, in the performance space at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Indianapolis, 615 W 43rd St, Indianapolis, IN 46208.

Doors to the lobby open to the public at 6:15 p.m. The concert begins at 7:00 pm.
