Like chewed gum pressed into the sidewalk, these paintings are saturated with human presence. Layered with acrylic mycelia networks and animal bones, plant tendrils and weathered landscapes, these forms—neither fully here nor there—are perpetually becoming.
This collection of found and mixed-media works, Alex Moore explores our current moment’s impact on the planet and how we are all in spaces in between: life and death, human and object, here and not. Our Anthropocene legacy is stratified in layers of plastic junk, future fossils waiting to be found.
Join us on Wednesday, March 19th from 5:30-7 pm for an innovative and immersive gallery reception and experience Alex’s work first-hand. Registration is appreciated but not required, free and open to all.
