Each quarter, our Art on the Ave program highlights a different artist, and this time, we’re excited to showcase the incredible work of Haykidd at the historic Walker Building.

Join us on Thursday, October 3rd from 6-9 PM for an exclusive Artist Talkback featuring Greg Rose, as they dives into their solo exhibition, “Perm and Other Four-Letter Words.” This free hybrid event offers two ways to participate—experience the art in person and stay for the virtual talkback, or tune in remotely from home. Greg Rose will join us virtually from Berlin, Germany to engage in a discussion and answer your most anticipated questions.

In this solo exhibition, Haykidd explores the profound complexities of grief and the journey of rediscovering life after loss. With a stunning blend of drawings, paintings, and sculptures, “Perm and Other Four-Letter Words” invites viewers to contemplate the concept of ‘self.’ The seemingly simple four-letter word serves as a gateway into the transformative process of reshaping one’s identity and reality.
