The Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis, led by Conductor Orcenith Smith, offers a concert filled with music that sparkles and excites. Works include blue cathedral by Jennifer Higdon, Starburst¬†by Jessie Montgomery, “Prelude” to Richard Wagner’s opera, Die Meistersinger von Nurnberg, and the “Polovtsian Dances” from Alexander Borodin’s opera, Prince Igor. “Listen & Learn,” a pre-concert conversation with Maestro Smith, is held at 2:30 in the Studio Theatre at Pike Performing Arts Center, 6701 Zionsville Road.

Tickets: $25 for adults, $20 for seniors, $10 for students, children 5 and under free
