The Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis, led by Conductor Orcenith Smith, offers a concert filled with music that sparkles and excites. Works include blue cathedral by Jennifer Higdon, Starburst by Jessie Montgomery, “Prelude” to Richard Wagner’s opera, Die Meistersinger von Nurnberg, and the “Polovtsian Dances” from Alexander Borodin’s opera, Prince Igor. “Listen & Learn,” a pre-concert conversation with Maestro Smith, is held at 2:30 in the Studio Theatre at Pike Performing Arts Center, 6701 Zionsville Road.

Tickets: $25 for adults, $20 for seniors, $10 for students, children 5 and under free
