In “Senior Show,” Wilson invites us to explore her most recent quirky expressions of memories, loss, joy, everyday challenges, and social injustices, through intuitively collected visual references. The exhibition features a compelling array of series, from empty hotel rooms to stylized vintage cars to hotdog charcuterie.

Wilson’s continuing artistic journey spans over 40 years of developing her style to capture the essence of how the hugs and shoves of daily life make her feel. Her paintings and stoneware sculpture works are not simply visual representations of the nostalgia that influenced her childhood. These contemporary narratives are personal reflections crafted through the emotional response to what each day brings.

“Senior Show” is Wilson’s nod to her current Medicare status and to her recent graduation from Herron School of Art and Design, a college degree begun in 1980 but delayed by life events.

“Senior Show” opens on May 10th from 6-9pm, with gallery hours on Saturdays from 1-5pm and by appointment through June 1st.
