This March, come welcome in the spring and enjoy and evening of new music. These 19 pieces were written by Daniel J. McIntosh (Butler University graduate) to the illustrated poetry of William Blake’s “Songs of Innocence.” McIntosh will be joined by soprano, Marci Jackson (Anderson University graduate); whose voice he wrote these new songs for. Immerse yourself in the late 18th century’s poetic landscape of what innocence can mean.
Along side the recital, there will be newly relief-etched copper plate prints by leading expert printmaker Michael Phillips.
Performance will be at the Simon Reading Room of the Central Branch at the Indianapolis Public Library. Free parking underneath.
