The Basile Cultural Center is hosting our Spring Awakening Festival – featuring window art installations by local artists Miracle Hall, Jessica Joan Sunders, Matthew DeLoughery, Lisa Ellingwood, Jennifer Blue Hands, Michele Burns, and Irina Hinkel. Samuel Penaloza will feature ‘La Vida Es Una Fiera’ in the Basile Gallery, and Michele Burns will present photoluminescent work titled ‘Glow in the Box’. Live music by Purser – the solo project of multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter Bobbie Purser (they/he). Based in their hometown of Nashville, TN, Purser is steadily carving a space for queer folk-rock in music city.
