About: In the streets of Paris on January 6, 1482, the Feast of Fools is celebrated by all. Pierre Gringoire waits eagerly for the opening of his play when he discovers a young beautiful woman named Esmeralda, who has arrived with a band of Truands to perform alongside her trusty goat, Djali. Unfortunately for the pair of them, Esmeralda has captured the eye of multiple other men. They scheme and plot and fight each other to be with her, but her one wish is to be reunited with her lost mother. She must navigate the affections of these men, some more requited than others, and fight off the petty jealousies and superstitions of the townsfolk. In the re-telling of this classic tale, we see a darker fantasy viewpoint combined with the tragic nature of the original story.
