The Tony Award-winning drama is set in New York City in 1850. When Catherine a shy and plain young girl who falls desperately in love with a delightful young handsome suitor, her father threatens to disinherit her, convinced that the young man could only be interested in Catherine’s fortune.

Catherine’s lack of worldliness prevents her from realizing that the young man proposing to her is not entirely drawn to her by her charm. Directed by: Kathleen Calerke-Horrigan.
