Kintsugi refers to a form of Japanese ceramics that repairs broken pottery with gold – a concept that captures the idea that beauty can emerge from brokenness.
My names is Saya Hauser, and I’m a senior at Columbus East High School. Having experienced domestic violence myself, I know how devastating it can be when families lack the resources to hire an attorney or face overwhelming legal fees while trying to protect their children. To help, I started the Kintsugi Project, a legal aid fund that provides grants to low-income families in need of custody-related legal support.
To raise money for the fund, I’ll be hosting an art exhibit on Thursday, October 9 from 6-8 pm at 326 4th St., Columbus, Indiana. Please join us for appetizers and drinks, open donations, art pieces for sale, and items up for auction. It would mean the world to me if you joined us.
If you’re unable to attend but would like to support the cause, please scan the QR code below. Every dollar goes straight to families who need it most. Donations to Turning Point Domestic Violence Services gratefully accepted via the QR code. Please select “Saya’s Senior Project” under Type of Tribute.
