The book for Unveiling a Forgotten Legacy is here!

This educational photobook is a combination of the photography project Unveiling a Forgotten Legacy and the archival research done to inform the project. Unveiling a Forgotten Legacy is more than a photo book – it’s a powerful narrative of the Black communities disrupted by IUPUI’s expansion into Indianapolis’s near-west side. This book explores the cost of progress and asks what could have been if these neighborhoods had been allowed to thrive.

We will celebrate the launch with a gratitude garden, speakers, and a book signing.
