6-10pm

A collective of local artists is proud to announce their third annual group exhibition, Wet Wet Mud III, in partnership with COMPANION, located at 3715 Washington Boulevard, Indianapolis, IN 46205. This exhibition of work promises a playful exploration of texture, showcasing the voices and points of view of nine female and nonbinary Hoosier artists.

Wet Wet Mud is the culmination of 4 years of weekly communal artmaking process organized by Lizzie Bilbrey. The exhibition will feature an eclectic array of mediums, including video works, paintings, collages, wall sculptures, and textile works. Each artwork delves into the broad theme of “texture”, interpreted in a variety of literal and conceptual ways: both exploring what brings texture (tangibility, variety, tactileness) into our lives, and how texture feels relevant to each artist in relation to their creative practice.

The participating artists are: Lizzie Bilbrey, Iryna Bondar, Marissa Cohen, Jess Dunn, Lily Groot, Charlie Kozlowski, Alexandria Scott, Lily Tade, and Anisha Thiel. Their individual voices, experiences, mediums, and artistic approaches converge to create a cohesive yet varied exhibition, which is playful, musing, and social.

An opening reception will be held on Friday, August 15th, 2025, from 6-10 PM, offering the public an exclusive opportunity to meet the artists, engage with their work, participate in a muddy performance art piece, and also visit the Best Friends group exhibition at Storage Space, just up the street. This event is free and open to the public.
