October 2019 | Circles: The Renaissance, The Rebirth, The Remix

Gallery 924 was proud to present a group show featuring three very stylistically different, but deeply connected artists. Creative Renewal Arts Fellows Mason Archie, Jay Parnell, and Lobyn Hamilton have been meeting informally for years discussing art, politics, identity, life, and culture. From these conversations, a vision for a visual representation of their discussions has emerged. The resulting exhibition, Circles: the Renaissance, the Rebirth, the Remix represented each individual and their current approach to their artwork. The artists’ collective goal for this gathering of artwork was to come together as an artistic brotherhood with black culture and the black experience as the foundation of the work presented.
