For 15 years, the Indy Arts Council has awarded Robert D. Beckmann Jr. fellowships to Indianapolis emerging musicians, dancers, theater lighting designers, painters, poets and sculptors. Now, many of those artists are well-known. See works by visual artists Gary Gee, Matthew Cooper, Taylor Bamgbose, Alicia Zanoni and Jackie Head; poets Chantel Massey, TOO BLACK, and Manón Voice; and musicians Joshua A. Thompson and Jade Davidson. The show is curated by Kate Oberreich, a 2008 Beckmann fellow.
