About the fellowship
What would you do if you were given $12,000 seek renewal? Since 1999, the Arts Council, with support from Lilly Endowment Inc., has invited 500+ central Indiana artists and arts administrators to do just that.
The Creative Renewal Arts Fellowship recharges artists and arts administrators with a sabbatical-like award. In 2024, 50 individuals will each be awarded $12,000 to pursue activities that will bring rest, inspiration, and energy.

The Creative Renewal Arts Fellowship application is open and due August 4, 2024 at 11:59 pm.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Have lived and/or worked in Marion, Morgan, Boone, Hamilton, Hendricks, Hancock, Johnson, or Shelby County for the past two years and continue to do so during the fellowship.
- Be a professional artist or an arts administrator who has been working in the arts for at least five years.
- Have generated the majority of income over the past two years in the arts.
