Arts for Lawrence is hiring for Summer Art Camp Staff

Deadline: 05/14/2025

Do you love working with young people, have a passion for the arts, and want to make a meaningful impact this summer? Arts for Lawrence is hiring enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our Summer Art Camp team!

We’re currently looking for:

Camp Art Teachers ($15/hr) – Art Teachers lead engaging, inquiry-based, project-oriented lessons that introduce campers to a variety of visual arts techniques and materials. The goal? To nurture creativity, encourage collaboration, and build confidence and community pride through hands-on artistic exploration.

Camp Counselors ($12/hr) – Camp Counselors support the day-to-day operations of camp, assist instructors, and ensure the safety and supervision of campers. They’re the heart of our team—helping create a welcoming, fun, and safe environment while being role models to our young artists.

Camp Director ($3100 stipend)- The Camp Director oversees the entire summer camp experience—from developing curriculum and managing staff to supporting the day-to-day structure of camp and assisting AFL with camp administration. This leadership role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, creativity, and a love for building meaningful arts education experiences.

Whether you’re an experienced teacher, a college student studying art or education, or someone who simply loves working with kids and the arts—we’d love to hear from you!
