Deadline August 15: Aurora PhotoCenter seeks candidates for the inaugural Lamar Richcreek Memorial Fall Internship. Lamar Richcreek was a fine art photographer and an instructor of photography and lab manager at Herron School of Art and Design for 20 years. This endowed internship recognizes Richcreek’s lifelong commitment to learning, an appreciation for people of all types and cultures, the power of the arts, and the importance of integrity and respect for all.
We seek an intern to work with Founding Director Mary Goodwin in the gallery + workspace environment. For the Lamar Richcreek Memorial Fall Internship, from September 2-December 20, 2024, priority consideration will be given to applicants who are currently enrolled in coursework in the fine arts or arts administration at an accredited college or university, and who hope to teach photography and studio arts in their future careers. Strong interest in and knowledge of analog and digital photography, exhibitions, workshops, and events a plus. The Intern must be reliable and capable of working independently.
