About Art & Soul
Art & Soul is a celebration of Black art and music in Indianapolis. Each year, four Featured Artists are recognized for their exemplary contributions to our creative community.
Featured Artists receive an infusion of support including paid, performances and exhibitions opportunities, career coaching, media placements, and more.
Since its inception in 1996, Art & Soul has supported over 60 Featured Artists.
Art & Soul Featured Artists
Art & Soul highlights four Indianapolis-based artists each year whose work reflects and celebrates Black art and music. We refer to them as the “Art & Soul featured artists.”
Featured artists and their creative work are highlighted in special community events, spotlighted by a comprehensive marketing campaign, and coached by both Indy Arts Council and Madam Walker staff throughout the experience.
