NOW ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS! Pride & Joy is a community art show celebrating Indy’s LGBTQ+ artists.
ABOUT THE SHOW: The Athenaeum’s Christel DeHaan ArtSpace (401 E. Michigan St) is proud to host this exhibition of artwork from Indy-local members of the LGBTQ+ community. The central theme of this exhibition is creative self-expression, and the diversity within this concept is mirrored by the diversity of our exhibiting artists. This exhibit is free, open to the public, and will run from June 6 through the end of July.
GUIDELINES: Artists of any age who identify as members of the LGBTQ+ community are welcome to submit artwork for consideration. 2D and 3D artworks will be considered. Multiple artwork submissions are welcome, but space is limited. Works will be evaluated and accepted by jury. There is no fee to submit artwork, and no exhibition fee for artists selected for inclusion in the show. Any and all sales of artwork will go directly through the artist.
ARTIST PRIZES: We are introducing artist prizes in 2025! The jury will select winners for Best In Show, Best Work by an Emerging Artist, and Best Work by a Professional Artist, to be announced at the First Friday reception. There will also be a People’s Choice Award, announced at the Final Friday reception in July.
