Gallery 924 is seeking artwork from central Indiana artists for its annual holiday group show: TINY XIV. The goal for TINY is to feature a wide array of options for holiday shoppers to start a tiny collection of art (or a collection of tiny art!) for themselves or to give as gifts. It’s Indy’s biggest holiday small art show!
Exhibition Information
Artists working in all styles and media (2D and 3D) are welcome – the only similarity will be size. All work should be “tiny”….or no greater than six inches in any direction. (max. size is 6” x 6” x 6”, there is no minimum size).
TINY should not be confused with a more traditional “miniatures” show. Artists who create miniature works are welcome to apply, but this show is more about the element of surprise, experiment, interaction, and whimsy that can happen when you make art tiny!
Artists may apply with up to five completed/existing individual artworks. Please no sets of artworks (diptych, triptych, etc). Artwork can complement other artworks or part of a series, but each artwork must be priced and sold separately.
All of these artworks should be completed at the time of application, ready to deliver shortly after notification, and dry/cured/ready to hang upon delivery. DO NOT include incomplete artwork or concepts for artwork in your application.
Artwork will be insured by the gallery from delivery through pickup.
Gallery 924 retains a 25% commission on all artwork sold in the gallery.
TIP: When pricing artwork for TINY, keep in mind that the Indy Arts Council and Gallery 924 will be promoting the show as a great place to buy unique, “Indy-pendent” holiday gifts. The most common price range for sales at the TINY Show is $35 – $150, but the artist may set any price they choose. Artists should maintain their prices at a consistent level based upon previous sales.
Selection Process
The artists in this group exhibition will be chosen by an internal selection committee and the artworks will be curated and installed by Gallery 924 staff. Work will be selected based on the quality of the artwork and how well it fits within the larger group show.
Eligibility
- Artists over the age of 18 and residing in central Indiana are welcome to apply.
- Central Indiana is defined as Marion and its seven surrounding counties (Hamilton, Hancock, Shelby, Johnson, Morgan, Hendricks, and Boone).
- Work must have been completed within the last three years.
- If 2D, work must be ready to hang with appropriate hardware. Artwork can be framed (if appropriate). Selected artwork that is delivered for the show without a proper hanging method will be returned to the artist and not exhibited.
- The size of the work should fit within a 6” x 6” (x 6”) area. But, if the artwork itself is 6” x 6” and must be framed in order to be exhibited, the frame should not exceed 8” x 8”. Selected artwork that is delivered for the show that exceeds 8″x8″ framed will be returned to the artist and not exhibited.
TIP: 6″x6″x6″ is the actual max size. Artwork of a similar area (square inches) will not be considered. For example, 5″x7″ artworks are considered over size and will not be accepted.
Timeline
- Call released: Wednesday, August 20, 2025
- Application deadline: Sunday, October 12, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. This is an UPLOAD deadline through an online form! The online form will automatically close at 11:59pm.
- Artists notified: by Monday, November 3, 2025
- Artwork delivery: Tuesday, November 18 through Thursday, November 20, 2025 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. – artwork not delivered by November 20 will not be included in the exhibition.
- First Friday opening reception: Friday, December 5, 2025, 5 – 9 p.m.
- Gallery closed for the holidays: December 22, 2025 – January 5, 2026
- Exhibition closes: Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 4 p.m.
- Artwork pickup (unsold work): Tuesday, January 13 through Thursday, January 15, 2025 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- Gallery 924 and the Indy Arts Council have limited storage. Artwork that hasn’t been picked up by March 5, 2026 (60 days following the closing of the show) becomes the property of the Indy Arts Council.
How to apply
Register and complete the application form by Sunday, October 12, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.
The application form will ask for:
- Artist contact information (social media information is optional)
- Images and information (title, dimensions, price) for up to FIVE suggested existing artworks. All of these artworks should be already completed at the time of application, ready to deliver shortly after notification, and dry/cured/ready to hang upon delivery. DO NOT include incomplete artwork or concepts for artwork.
- Demographic information–this helps us keep our artist opportunities equitable and open to all, and we appreciate your sharing with us.
