CITY OF GREENWOOD SEEKS ARTISTS FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL BOXES

The City of Greenwood, IN, is looking for artists to create artwork for traffic signal box
wraps. These designs will be professionally printed on vinyl and installed at various
locations throughout Old Town Greenwood.

ELIGIBILITY
This opportunity is open to professional artists with experience in public art or large-scale design projects.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The City of Greenwood’s public art program creates opportunities for collaboration
between artists and the City to create art designed for the public in the heart of
Greenwood.

After a successful initial round of traffic signal box wraps, the city is launching a second
round in search of art for nine (9) additional traffic boxes.

Artists may submit up to three designs, with creative freedom to explore any theme.
Selected artists will have one month to finalize their designs.

BUDGET
The artist’s stipend for each box is $500. If art teams are awarded, the $500 will be split
evenly among team members. The City of Greenwood will incur all costs related to
printing and installation.

DEADLINES
• Artist Call Published: October 31, 2025
• Application Submission: January 30, 2026, by 5:00pm
• Notification of Finalists: February 13, 2026, by 5:00pm
• Final Designs Due: March 13, 2026, by 5:00pm
• Installation: April-May 2026
