Fletcher Place Community Center (FPCC) is looking for an artist to create an original painted mural on their building in spring 2025. This project is part of a larger legacy grant through the 2025 WNBA All-Star Host Committee. The building is located at 1637 Prospect Street in the Fletcher Place neighborhood of Indianapolis, Indiana. The brick-clad building is in a historic district and has never been painted, so the mural will be painted on 6 4ft x 8ft panels.
The overall dimension of the mural site is 16 feet high and 12 feet wide. Panels can either be provided to the artist for in-studio work and installed later, or installed for onsite painting. The panels and their installation are provided by FPCC at no cost to the artist.
Project Fee (to artist): $9,600 plus a $750 concept fee. The artist is expected to budget all materials, labor, and equipment needed to complete the commission within this amount. The budget provided does not include site preparation and panel installation, as FPCC will ensure that the site is ready for the artwork.
Deadline for Applications: Monday, March 31, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. (EDT) This is an UPLOAD deadline.
