Indiana Treasurer of State Seeks Artwork for 2025 Exhibition

Deadline: 02/21/2025

The Office of the Indiana State Treasurer is requesting submissions from Indiana artists for exhibition at the Indiana State Treasurer’s Office, located at the Indiana Statehouse in Indianapolis. The Office is open to the public.

ABOUT THE OFFICE OF THE TREASURER
The Indiana State Treasurer is one of five constitutional offices and has broad responsibilities and authority in the areas of investment and finance. Daniel Elliott serves as the 56th Treasurer of State, the fifth highest-ranking statewide government official. The Treasurer is elected statewide every four years. In addition to being the State’s chief investment officer and banker, the Treasurer serves as chairperson or a member of numerous State boards, commissions, and authorities. Treasurer Elliott has proudly displayed artwork honoring Hoosiers since he was elected to office in 2023.

Submissions will be reviewed and selected by staff of the Indiana State Treasurer’s Office. This year’s exhibition will be called “Hoosiers: Past, Present, and Future.” We would like to feature a variety of styles and themes—all submissions that meet these criteria are welcome. Preference will be given to Indiana artists. The Treasurer would like to feature all types of media (photography, paintings, drawings, mixed media, etc.).

Artwork must be 2D and framed (if appropriate), wired, and ready to hang. Artwork should be a minimum of 24” x 24” and maximum of 36” x 36”. Larger artwork is welcome.

All Indiana artists over the age of 18 are welcome to submit.

Work must be delivered to the Indiana State Treasurer’s Office between March 3rd – March 7th, 2025, and picked up within a week of the close of the exhibition. Artwork may be available for sale with the artist being responsible for managing the sale (the Treasurer’s Office will connect interested patrons with the artist to complete sales). The Treasurer’s office will not take a commission on sales.
