Indy Fused Glass, LLC. seeks an individual with experience in Art Glass fusing and slumping processes and techniques. Consideration is open to artists with skills in other artistic media. Thorough knowledge of fusing glass becomes a necessity in the process of all stages of creating with glass, glass fusing and slumping as this position will expand your skills into becoming an Introductory Fusing Instructor. There can be on the job training for any/all persons with artistic skills in this or other media.
This retail and instructional position requires a professional retail presence, the ability to meet and greet clients and customers, and to create a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.
Training will be provided in-studio for day-to-day retail operations and instructional sessions as IFG is open daily to the public.
With proven credentials, consideration is possible to step into additional working hours in this retail and instructional studio position.
20 hours per week to start which could grow to a 30-hour work week. Workdays could vary through the week- Tuesday through Sunday. Day shift and early evening shifts-the hours will vary a little depending on the day of the week. (IFG is closed Monday).
Arrangement for individual in-studio creative time is possible: either before or after your regular hours/at a reduced studio fee.
Work history is required. Only in-person interviews will be accommodated.
Bring samples of fused and slumped art glass if available. Or bring hands-on artistic endeavors. Tell me and show me, who you are as an artist.
