Learn more about Julie

My first job was:

Babysitting and teaching swim lessons; first professional job – public relations intern with Burson-Marsteller in New York City.

I am inspired by:

Powerful human stories well told across all media.

I am currently reading:

New York Times, Leaders Eat Last by Simon Sinek, and nightly bedtime stories with my daughter.

I am currently listening to:

WFYI-FM/NPR and various podcasts.

My moment of zen:

Walking my dog (sweetest black Lab on earth) early in the morning or late at night.

What artist/musician (living or deceased) would you like to have dinner with and where would you take them?

Ella Fitzgerald at The Jazz Kitchen and Stephen Sondheim at The Cabaret.

What do you love about the Indy arts scene?

The diversity of our arts and cultural institutions combined with our community’s collective commitment to arts education. The experiences I had with our arts and cultural organizations growing up in Indy are the reason I’m in this role today.

When you are not out crusading for the arts, where can we find you?

Watching my daughter dance, catching a glimpse of my son running track or cross country, and going out to enjoy local live music with my husband and friends.
