This mural, located on North Alley 250 East, is intended to highlight the importance of pollinator species, especially in the face of human interference. Pollinators are vital to producing the food we eat, and if we continue to remove their habitat and control their numbers with pesticides, we would starve. Many species are indicated in the mural, including species like bats that may not come to mind when thinking of pollinators.
The mural also contains Legos, which were placed there in a previous public art project by a Herron School of Art intern.
