This mural is located at 1811 N Meridian St, right across from the 18th St. Red Line Rapid Transit stop. It depicts a view of the Indianapolis skyline from a rural vantage point, framed by milkweed stalks at sunset, with city lights just beginning to twinkle in the distance.

According to the artist, creating this piece presented the opportunity to bring the depth of field techniques she had been working on in easel paintings to a larger scale. The mural has a layered depth, with the distant city skyline, a soft, atmospheric middle ground, and milkweed in the foreground—highlighting the subtle connection between urban and rural landscapes.

The artist, Megan Jefferson, is a prolific muralist based in Indianapolis. Working primarily with floral themes, she has exhibited extensively in central Indiana and sells her work to designers and individual patrons.
