The Arts Council of Indianapolis is pleased to partner with the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis on a permanent, exterior artwork for the new OrthoIndy Foundation YMCA, to be located at 5315 Lafayette Rd. in Pike Township (scheduled to open on December 3, 2018). The goal of the artwork is to acknowledge the contribution of military veterans and service members to the American experience in a contemporary and imaginative way, in order to call attention to donations toward the OrthoIndy Foundation YMCA’s programs and facilities that were designed to support veterans’ needs.

Sculptor Clay Enoch of the National Sculptor’s Guild was selected to create his piece among dozens of
artist in a national competition in 2016. The OrthoIndy Foundation YMCA is the first Y in the
country to house a Veterans medical clinic.
