In October of 2017, Big Car organized a five-spot mural intersection painting effort led by artists for the 2017 Lilly Day of Service. At Garfield Drive and Hervey Street, artist Martin Kuntz designed a red-tailed hawk mural to be painted by volunteers. He chose the red-tailed hawk to represent the native wildlife of the park.

Martin KuntzĀ is an American artist living and working in Indianapolis. Born in Vlissingen, Netherlands, Kuntz moved to his Hoosier home at the age of 3.
