The design of this artwork draws inspiration from the resplendent hues of topaz and citrine gemstones. Its combination of raised aluminum powder-coated panels alternated with translucent acrylic panels is illuminated by dynamic RGB color-changing lighting. During the day, the mural exudes a distinctive ambiance thanks to the interplay of natural light with the translucent acrylic. However, it truly comes alive at night, as the shifting RGB colors dance through the metal cutouts, adding depth and vibrancy to the artwork.

Positioned adjacent to a new multi-use path, seamlessly linking to the Monon Trail, this art wall offers a multi-dimensional experience accessible by foot, bicycle, or vehicle. It also acts as a visual buffer, shielding the Sherwood Forest neighborhood to the south from the luminance of passing vehicles on the newly developed Real Street—a prerequisite mandated by zoning. Thus, beyond its artistic significance, the wall stands as a testament to both practicality and beauty, enhancing the fabric of the surrounding environment.

The artwork was created by Indianapolis artists Owens & Crawley as part of the Public Art for Neighborhoods program of the City of Indianapolis.
